Richmond Bridge - Bursting its banks!
From Richmond Bridge - London
The banks of the river are known to flood, amazing to watch as the banks of the river disappear as the tide rises and the river swells.
Notice the etty in the forefront of the picture, you could still walk onto it. The path is still visible and able to be walked down. In the distance you notice a large block building with red signage, that pub, the White Cross is known to have their patrons stranded and not able to leave due to the rising water levels. Lucky for some.
Notice the jetty is partially submerged now and the path is no longer visible.
Not the best photo (thank you iPhone); however you see the boats that are usually dry docked in the forefront of the photo are actually floating and the reflection of the lights on the water show how high the water has risen.
